The Youth Leadership Council started a recycling program two months ago at the police station and has been collecting, sorting and cashing in every week. The idea was to help the environment, while also raising money for Relay for Life and its cancer research. Last week, YLC organized 3 drop-off days and did a big push, encouraging PAL families and local businesses to participate as well. They raised over $700, which will be donated to cancer research. Now they are on to their next volunteer project… got any suggestions?
