The first of its kind for Hollywood PAL, we hosted a Girls Empowerment Workshop held on May 25, 2024. Over 38 young ladies, accompanied by 20 dedicated moms, gathered for an inspiring day of empowerment, self-care, and community connection. The workshop featured Professor Pearce from Pasadena Community College, who led an engaging session on skincare and makeup application followed by empowering words from Dr. Thias Aliabadi. Participants learned invaluable tips and techniques, boosting their confidence and self-esteem. The interactive session provided a perfect blend of education and enjoyment, leaving everyone feeling uplifted and motivated.
Because of our amazing partnerships with Simplehuman, Coco’s Angels, Guardians of Love, Target, Lilly Lashes, and Santa Monica PAL, each girl received her own set of brushes, sponges, liners, glosses, and more, along with a mirror to take home. These gifts not only enhanced the learning experience but also served as lasting reminders of the day’s empowering message. It was an amazing experience for all in attendance.
