Our PAL officers visited Vine Street Elementary and spoke in several classes about making good choices, especially about friends, goals, and staying away from drugs. They also had the opportunity to talk to several troubled youth, who needed additional mentoring and support. Vine Street counselors and teachers identified and connected our officers to provide one-on-one  mentoring with students currently struggling with disruptive behaviors that felt were not being heard. These kids were able to feel safe and be able to share problems and find perspective.

While visiting local schools, it’s always a pleasure for our officers to see familiar faces of those who are already in our programs. As the officers walk around the campus, it brings them joy to see excitement and enthusiasm from the youth in our programs to be acknowledged in such a way. It demonstrates just how impactful PAL is!
