Saturday, September 21st, the Hollywood Pantages Theatre hosted a one-night-only Texas Hold’em Charity Poker Tournament in their gorgeous Grand Lobby. Thank you to our table sponsors from @wiresonly, Blue Palms, GSG Protective Services, Netflix, Pantages, Paramount Contractors & Developers, Paramount Studios, and Raleigh Enterprises for filling the room with a fun group of people ready to go all-in.
With a short reception and poker lessons for those who haven’t played before, the event kicked off with a welcome from our Hollywood PAL Board Chair, Roy Condon, and Hollywood Division Captain Steven Lurie sharing the importance of supporting Hollywood PAL and the positive impact it has on our local youth. Then out went the call to “Shuffle up and Deal” kicking off the start of the tournament. Over 100 players spent their Saturday night raising, checking and going all-in to gain a coveted spot at the final table.
Congratulations to the final nine that made it to the last table, Abigail, Chris, Paul, Mauro, Geoff, Shannon, Mike, Velvet and our 2019 Poker at the Pantages Champion, Laine. Great job!
Thanks to our table sponsors, tournament players, spectators and in-kind donors we raised over $26,000 for our youth programs.
