Our Summer Campers had the chance to take a tour of the LAPD Air Support Division and Rooftop Helicopter Hanger! Firsthand, they got to see behind the scenes at the day-to-day details of the officers with a bird’s eye view of the city.
In addition to that perspective, our campers also got a tour of the LAPD Technical Investigations Division Crime Lab! They were able to learn about the process of lifting prints from surfaces, how they collect evidence, and see the various ways in which they can collect electronic evidence. For some of our campers, this was one of their favorite field trips to date! They got to put themselves in the shoes of a detective and try it out for themselves. Such a unique experience!
