The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation presented ten community organizations with $21,500 in grants at the September mixer at OHM Nightclub – one of which was Hollywood PAL! Hollywood Chamber Community Foundation board member Marty Shelton presented checks to the following organizations: Assistance League of Southern California for Operation Bell on wheels; Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood for their music program; Dress for Success Worldwide for replacement of two computers for their Career Center; The Harmony Project for purchase of new instruments for their Hollywood Program Hub; Hollywood Arts Council for art supplies for Project SOAR; Hollywood Heritage, Inc. for restoration of external exhibition area of museum; Hollywood PAL for their Martial Arts Program; NewFilmmakers L.A. towards hiring a full time employee who will aid in expanding Core Program; Project Angel Food to continue providing and delivering cooked meals to people with HIV/AIDS who are too weak to care for themselves; Stella Adler Theatre for their Community Outreach Program.
